Privacy Policy
DawnVow is a local-first, task-gated alarm app provided by Kaan Çelik, Türkiye. No DawnVow account is required.
Data kept on your device
Alarm times, recurrence rules, mission choices, app preferences, selected household objects and alarm history are stored locally on your device. Your exact wake-up time is not sent to DawnVow, Adapty or PostHog.
Photo missions
When you grant camera permission, DawnVow captures a photo only for the mission you start. Object recognition runs on the device. The temporary photo is deleted after verification and is not uploaded to a DawnVow server, Adapty or PostHog. DawnVow does not offer gallery selection for mission proof.
Exercise missions
Push-up, squat and sit-up missions analyze front-camera frames live in device memory. DawnVow does not create a photo or video file for exercise analysis. Camera pixels stay in the native on-device analyzer; only temporary body-joint coordinates are used to count repetitions. Frames, joint coordinates and exact movement timestamps are not sent to DawnVow, Adapty, PostHog or any server and are released when the mission ends.
Subscriptions and Adapty
Apple App Store or Google Play processes purchases and payment details. DawnVow uses Adapty to show subscription offers, validate access and restore purchases. Adapty receives an anonymous app profile, transaction and entitlement information, technical app/device information, and limited onboarding attribution such as selected goal, primary difficulty, mission type and experiment variant. DawnVow disables IP-address collection and iOS IDFA/Android advertising-ID collection in the Adapty SDK.
Anonymous product analytics
If analytics is enabled in the released build, PostHog receives a randomly generated anonymous device identifier and onboarding/paywall events, including selected onboarding answers and copy experiment context. DawnVow disables GeoIP enrichment. It does not send photos, exact wake-up times, names, email addresses, advertising identifiers or a personal account identifier to PostHog.
Permissions
DawnVow may request camera and platform alarm permissions. Android may also request notifications, exact alarms and full-screen alarm access, and may recommend a battery-optimization exemption. These are used to deliver alarms and missions. If camera access is unavailable when a camera mission rings, the alarm still rings and DawnVow offers the backup quiz.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete it in the app or uninstall DawnVow. Temporary mission photos are deleted after verification. Apple, Google, Adapty and PostHog retain the limited data they process under their own policies and legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
You can revoke permissions in system settings, remove local alarms, uninstall the app, and manage or cancel subscriptions through your App Store or Google Play account. For privacy questions or applicable data-rights requests, contact us.
Children
DawnVow is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
